DMTFH Handheld Series
DMTFH Hand Held Transit Time Ultrasonic Flowmeter has been carefully designed with compact structure and easy use in mind. The user can easily carry the main unit with one hand as well as use it with one hand. The user interface is so understandable and easy to use that it does not require explanation. In addition, the sensor connection type is designed in such a way that it can be applied without the need for special tools. It does not cause any pressure drop, leakage or contamination due to its clamp connection system.
Scope of application:
◆Water (hot water, cooling water, De-ionized water, drinking water)
◆Petroleum Products
◆Alcohol, Acid etc. Chemicals
◆HVAC, Energy Measurement Systems
◆Beverage, Food and Pharmaceutical Production
Measurement Principle
The DMTF transit time ultrasonic flowmeter contains two sensors, each of which can act as a receiver and transmitter separately. The sensors are mounted on a closed pipe at a specific distance from each other. Sensors can be connected in 3 ways; V-Method, which predicts ultrasonic sound to cross the pipe 2 times, W-Method, which predicts ultrasonic sound to cross 4 times in the pipe, or Z-Method, which predicts ultrasonic sound to cross once in the pipe by placing the sensors mutually. Choosing the mounting method depends on the characteristics of the pipe and the liquid in it. When the flowmeter is operating, both sensors act as receiver and transmitter, sending signal beams to each other (Figure 1). Because ultrasonic sound travels downwards faster than upwards, in this case there will be a time difference (△t). If there is no flow, the time difference will be zero. For this reason, if the transition times of the upstream and downstream directions are known, the time difference and, accordingly, the flow velocity (V) and the flow volume (Q) can be found from the formula.
V= K*D* △t
V: Fluid Velocity
K: Fixed Value
D: Distance Between Two Sensors
△t: Transition Time Difference

DMTFH Handheld Series
Series DMTFH Handheld Transit Time Ultrasonic Flow Meter
DMTF transit time flowmeters utilize two transducers that function as both ultrasonic transmitters and receivers. The transducers are clamped on the outside of a closed pipe at a certain distance from each other. The transducers are mounted on the transducers upside down, in this case the ultra sound is twice the pipe inside, in this case method V-, or The ultra sound can be installed four times, or in this case the W-method tube inside the Z-method tube, and the ultra sound transverses the tube only once. The choice of mounting method depends on the pipe and fluid properties. When the flowmeter works, the two transducers transmit and first move up and down (Figure 1) and then receive multi-beam amplified ultrasonic signals. Because ultrasound moves up faster and down, there will be a difference in flight time (△ t). When flowing, the time difference (△ t) is zero. Therefore, as long as we know the two flight times up and down, we can then take care of the clock difference and current velocity (V) and current volume (Q) via the following formula.
Data Recording and Software Program
Based, SD card information provides memory structure data recording, the memory capacity can be 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB based SD card capacity. Normally, 1GB can store data for 5 years with session 5 minutes apart.
Data from SD card is very easy to read, scan file from SD card, just plug out Dynameters Data Logger and run Dynameters Data logger and analyze software.
Data report and Data Curve functions:
Analysis Functions:
Curve based on same Meter number but different time;
The curve is also based on the number of Meters but different.
Parameters Log: Flow, Speed
The user can delete the irrelevant parameters from the Excel Table and then print the data table.
We have two types of data loggers, Dedicated (including DMTFB, DMTFC, DMTFD, DMTFF, DMHF) and Portable (DMTFP) Series, another for Handheld (DMTFH) Series.
