Pipe Expansion Joints, one of the axial compensator types, are expansion parts that absorb vibration and noise. The piping system is divided into various expansion sections within itself and isolated by means of fixed points. Thus, the movement occurring in a vibration region is absorbed by the pipe compensator used in this region.
Shrinkage and expansion caused by temperature changes in the heating and hot water installation column lines of multi-storey high-rise buildings, which are becoming widespread today, cause bending in the pipes, noises, ruptures from the joints, and thread stripping.
Advantages of Ayvaz Pipe Compensator:
- It prevents expansions, noises, strains and twists in the column pipes.
- It saves energy as it does not cause pressure loss.
- The preparation and assembly time is both very simple and very short, thus reducing the labor cost.
- It can be easily used in rooms, halls, offices, visible column lines. Its appearance is aesthetic.
In 90°C/70°C heating installation columns, there is an expansion of approximately 3 mm on each floor. The expansion in the column line of a 7-storey (21m.) building can be taken with the elbows in the vent and main line collection. Ayvaz Pipe Compensator, which must be used in the column lines of buildings higher than 7 floors, should be used at most every 30 meters (every 10 floors).
- The distance between two fixed points is at most 30 m. Ayvaz Pipe Compensator is mounted on the floor between two fixed points, close to the ceiling.
