Black oxidation (blackening) is a coating formed as a result of a chemical reaction in an alkaline salt solution at approximately 140-150 °C.
Black oxidation increases the adhesion quality of the metal, ensures that paint and other processes adhere to the surface better and have a long life. In this way, it reduces paint spills.
Black oxidation does not change the size, hardness, tempering or surface properties of the material in any way.
Advantages of Black Oxidation coating;

• Its properties can be improved by lubrication (to reduce friction and increase corrosion),
• It gains a beautiful appearance as a decorative,
• Moving machine parts, hand tools and surgical instruments coated with black oxide reflect less light and reduce eye strain when used under bright lights.
• It is a pre-treatment before painting,
• Suitable for electrical parts (less than 1% conductivity loss after coating)
• No toxic gases come out when it encounters welding or paint,
• Hydrogen does not create brittleness.
