The FR-Z 133 Automatic Soil Compactor is designed to automatically provide uniform compaction of soil samples in the laboratory in accordance with the above-mentioned standards. The drop height can be adjusted to 300 mm, 305 mm, 450 mm and 457 mm according to the standard used. The circular rammer can be fitted with ram heads with a diameter of 50 mm or 50.8 mm, depending on the standard used. Again, according to the referenced standard, the weight of the rammer can be adjusted to 2.5 kg or 4.5 kg. In compaction of samples in standard proctor molds, the device operates in a constant radius trajectory.
It compresses the samples in modified proctor and CBR molds in two orbits with different radii inside and outside, ensuring a homogeneous compression.
At the beginning of the compression process, the number of drops to be applied to each layer in accordance with the preferred standard can be selected by the user from the digital display. It is very important that the number of drops to be applied to each layer is changeable for the preparation of samples with more or less unit weight value than desired. The rotation of the bottom plate, on which the mold is fixed, at equal intervals, the rammer falling at different points in the mold, and the resulting distribution of falling points ensures that each layer is compacted effectively and evenly. In addition, it is possible to set the user preferred falling number (in two orbits inside and/or outside) by the user from the digital display.
