FR-AG 022/b

The Thickness Determination Apparatus is used to determine whether the amount of flat particles in the aggregate pile is within acceptable limits according to the BS standard, that is, whether the particle thickness (smallest size) is less than 0.6 times the average of the sieve apertures of the particle class range it belongs to. It is divided into 7 different grain classes between 6.3 mm and each grain class is analyzed separately.

The apertures are 4.9×30 mm, 7.2×40 mm, 10.2×50 mm, 14.4×60 mm, 19.7×80 mm, 26.3×90 mm, and 33.9×100 mm.
