Pre-Cooling Units

Fes Chill Units cool the inlet air of air-cooled condensers evaporatively at very low costs. The evaporative cooling pads, which are very simply installed in front of all kinds of air-cooled condensers, are kept constantly wet with a small water circulation pump. The existing fans of the condensers cool the hot air outside by passing it over the wet pads, bringing the hot air closer to the wet bulb temperature.

This cooled air passes over the condenser cores. Thus, the operation of the condenser is relieved, the cooling performance of the condenser increases, the energy consumption of the chillers decreases, the operating performance of the system increases, the working pressure decreases, the life of the system and the compressor is extended, and the risk of failure is reduced.

Why Should You Use FesChill?

The gain rates obtained as a result of the comparison of the values obtained before and after the pre-cooling of the condenser of the Chiller unit and the FesChill units are shown in the table above. As a result of lowering the inlet air to the condenser by 11°C after pre-cooling, the electrical power drawn by the Chiller decreased by 19%; cooling capacity increased by 11%. Chiller's COP also increased by 36%. Each 1.8°C decrease in air temperature due to pre-cooling provides a 2% increase in condenser efficiency.
