Definition:

Modified bitumen is a hot used elastic crack and joint filling material consisting of polymers, various fillers and plasticizers.

Application Temperature: 170 °C – 180 °C

Flow (60°C-5 Hours): 0 mm (TS 1092)

Bond Strength (-18°C): max. 6mm (TS 1092)

Usage areas:

• Hot Bituminous Mixture (BSK) in cracks on the roads.
• In all kinds of dilatations and joints.
• In dams and canals.
• Any surface where water impermeability is required.
• It is used in asphalt joints and around manhole covers.

Application:

• The surface to be applied; It should be cleaned from dirt, dust and all kinds of loose materials. If possible, compressed air should be applied to the joint gaps to be applied.
• KALDERZ is heated in a suitable cauldron or in a metal container until it reaches 180°C.
• After a short mixing process, it is poured into the joint with suitable equipment or directly.
• The time to complete the curing of the material is approximately 1 hour.
• In order for the product not to lose its properties, the temperature should not be increased above 180°C and should not be heated or cooled repeatedly.

It is in 22 kg easily detachable cardboard boxes.
