According to articles 6, 7 and 8 of the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331, employers are obliged to provide occupational health and safety services. Other health personnel services within the scope of occupational health and safety services must be fulfilled in accordance with the following criteria.

The “Regulation on Duties, Authorities, Responsibilities and Trainings of Occupational Physicians and Other Health Personnel published in the Official Gazette dated 20.07.2013 and numbered 28713 has determined the principles regarding other health personnel services. Other health personnel are obliged to perform the following duties within the scope of occupational health and safety services.

• Working together with the occupational physician in the planning, evaluation, monitoring and direction of occupational health and safety services, collecting data and keeping the necessary records.
• To write the health and work histories of the employees on the employment / periodic examination form and to assist the physician during the physical examination performed by the occupational physician.
• To follow the groups that require special policies and to ensure that the necessary health examinations are carried out.
• Working with the workplace doctor in the organization and execution of first aid services,
• To take part in the health education of employees.
• Working with the workplace physician in the constant monitoring and supervision of the general hygiene conditions of the workplace building and its annexes.
• To carry out other duties related to occupational health and safety to be given by the workplace doctor.
• To support the work of the employee representatives and support staff in the workplace and to cooperate with these people.

Working hours of other health personnel are given below.

• At least 10 minutes per employee per month in workplaces with 10 to 49 employees classified as very hazardous.
• At least 15 minutes per employee per month in workplaces with 50 to 249 employees classified as very hazardous.
• At least 20 minutes per month per employee in workplaces with 250 or more employees in the very dangerous class.

In workplaces where a full-time occupational physician is assigned, the condition of assigning other health personnel is not required. However, in order to provide more effective occupational health and safety services, other health personnel may be appointed in these workplaces upon the request of the workplace doctor and the employer's approval.
As other health personnel, persons who have a nurse, health officer, emergency medical technician and environmental health technician diploma certified by the Ministry, and persons who have a workplace nursing certificate issued by the Ministry can work.
