Psychotechnical evaluation, which is a branch of work psychology, is the measurement of body and mind characteristics through tests in order to reveal the proficiency of the driver in a particular job. In other words, psychotechnical evaluation is an examination-evaluation method designed to understand whether an individual is suitable for a particular job.

Psychotechnical report is the decision report made as a result of the 1-hour evaluation made under the supervision of the Ministry of Health, accompanied by a simulator and psychologist, in order to test whether the person is suitable for a particular job. According to the Road Transport Regulation, this report must be obtained from the relevant health institution every 5 years.

According to the Road Transport Regulation, drivers who work and are employed within the scope of the Road Transport Law; Those who have a suitable driver's license for the vehicle they drive, have a professional qualification certificate according to the relevant legislation, have a certificate that the drivers who transport dangerous goods have received training in accordance with the relevant legislation, have passed the age of 26 and under the age of 63 for bus users, Drivers who are not convicted of customs smuggling and terrorist organization crimes can be taken with freedom-binding punishment.

Along with this report, drivers' mental characteristics (perception, attention, memory, judgment), psychomotor abilities and skills (eye, hand, foot coordination and reaction speed), behavior and attitudes, habits and personality traits (aggression, responsibility, self-control and risk) receiving) is intended to be measured.

This report helps to improve the driving culture of the society by establishing various rehabilitation programs that will identify drivers who will pose a danger in traffic due to their psychological disabilities, raise awareness of the personal skills and attitudes of drivers, protect the public from hazards and in the long term give at-risk drivers a chance to change their behavior.

What is the Psychotechnical Certificate?

According to the Road Transport Regulation No. 4925, one of the conditions sought for drivers is to have a Src Certificate and a Psychotechnical Evaluation Report.
